Every week another company posts a video of a robot folding a shirt. Almost none of them will sell you one. We started from the other end: the 27 machines with a published price, the 44 with an order page, and what you actually get for the money.
Somebody has to say which one.
A list of specifications is not advice. For every budget and every use we name one machine, say who should buy it, and say who should not. The winners are whatever tops the score, so they change when the facts change rather than when somebody sends us a robot.

Deposits, lead times and warranties: reading a humanoid order sheet
Of 42 buy records, 2 publish a deposit, 1 a warranty, 1 a shipping cost and none a lead time in weeks. The order sheet for a humanoid is mostly blank, and the blanks are where the money goes.
